We all want the best for our elderly loved ones. We want them to lead happy and fulfilling lives in their older years, in an environment that they enjoy and are comfortable with. However, there may come a time when they need more help with activities of daily living or more medical attention than a family caregiver can provide. As the CEO and Founder of Phoenix Senior Living as well as a Grandson, I understand the decision to move a loved one from their home into senior living is never an easy decision and each situation is different and complex, to say nothing of emotional. However, a move into a quality senior living community can provide not only the assistance seniors may need, but a new, welcoming home designed specifically to support them through the aging process.
As part of the Phoenix experience, and one of the founding principles of our organization is a commitment to unwavering excellence. Our new, state of the art, communities are built purposefully to serve seniors in a home like environment that are safe and secure. As an organization, we believe although our communities are beautiful and well appointed, it is what is inside our walls that defines the Phoenix experience. Always with a laser focus on excellence, each Phoenix community provides continued education and training, clinical care protocols and multiple quality assurance measures to fortify the standards that define the Phoenix experience of excellence. Every associate, will have completed a comprehensive Phoenix training curriculum concentrated on delivering excellence in the care and well-being of seniors of over 40 hours, including the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar which is the pathway to obtaining a CDP certification through the National Council for Certified Practitioners. All Phoenix managers will be Certified Dementia Practitioners
At a minimum of once a month and unannounced, the Phoenix Leadership team, with over 30 years of collective experience in senior living, reviews on site, at each Phoenix community, the standards in resident care, clinical operations, regulatory and compliance, dining, facilities and maintenance and Human Resources and training. Phoenix Senior Living’s commitment to quality is also reflected in the fact the organization has a Vice President dedicated exclusively to Quality Assurance.
Phoenix Senior Living takes enormous pride in the trust families and seniors place in us and know our associates define that trust. Our commitment to excellence includes a focus on hiring associates who not only have the right skills and experiences but also who bring a caring heart for serving seniors. Our professional and dedicated teams choose to work with Phoenix as their preferred place of employment, recognizing an organization of excellence who not only cares for and about seniors and their families, but also cares about their associates. My personal commitment to excellence includes providing our associates with a great place to work.
