Phoenix Senior Living Breaks Ground on The Phoenix at James Creek in Cumming, Georgia
Phoenix Senior Living broke ground on their new senior living community, The Phoenix at James Creek, on September 12, 2016 in Cumming, Georgia. This $22 million construction project, located at 90 Ruth Lane Cumming, GA will bring over 200 construction jobs to the area and when completed will employee 50 full time associates. The 78,000 square foot building, a joint venture with Mesa Capital Partners, Phoenix Senior Living and Engineering Design Technologies, will offer 89 apartments – 65 for traditional assisted living and 24 for those needing memory care in a secured neighborhood, designed specifically to care for seniors.
The Phoenix at James Creek will offer seniors of Cumming and nearby communities service-enriched assisted living and state of the art memory care. The project’s architects and interior designers are creating an interior design that leverages natural lighting and common area space with easy access to outdoor patios and courtyards. The exterior amenities also include a paved walking path around the building with resting spots along the way.
The community will feature spacious studios, one and two bedroom apartments with a variety of indoor spaces, including a fully equipped physical therapy/ exercise room, a bistro, full-service salon, pub, library, a garden room and a beautiful secured outdoor memory care garden. A large community room will host performing arts events and guest lecturers and a professional demonstration kitchen will host cooking demonstrations and classes for residents, their families and the local community. Recognizing the importance of not only nutrition, but the total dining experience, the community will offer both indoor and outdoor dining venues.
The owners and operators of Phoenix Senior Living have strong local connections in the Southeast and extensive experience in assisted living and senior housing development. Jesse Marinko, CEO, holds true to his core belief “We are people serving people and we know when it comes to a loved one, everything matters. The community, the environment, the care, the programs and the team will represent that core belief.” Marinko went on to add, “We are excited to serve seniors, their families and the local community and look forward to a strong partnership with the city of Cumming.”
The construction of the 16-month project is underway and the community anticipates serving seniors and their families in the Cumming area in January of 2018. Marinko added, “We are pleased to have the opportunity to partner with Mesa Capital and Engineering Design Technologies, both organizations share our unwavering commitment to a quality, purposefully designed and welcoming environment for seniors and their families. We all understand, when it comes to your loved one, it all matters and it matters to all of us.”
