Daina Lloyd and the entire team at The Retreat at Conyers have been wonderful to work with as we navigate the challenging process of moving Mom from New York State to Conyers. They have been caring, professional, and sensitive to every question and concern we raise. The facility is inviting, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the amenities ( including dining, organized activities, and support capabilities) are impressive. Everything we have experienced at The Retreat is first class!

Conyers has a wide variety of services depending on what your loved one may need. They also have a community of women who enjoy going out together. There are so many different levels of care, so you should definitely come by and see how the community is for yourself.

I have a pleasant experience living here at the community, they go above and beyond to make sure all residents are taken care of. The staff is friendly and helpful and willing to do anything to ensure that we have our needs taken care of. Overall, I'm satisfied living here.

They make the transition smooth and appealing for people coming in from independent living. My FIL loves having the chapel there since he had to leave his church group. He likes having this sense of community.

It has been an overall good experience. I feel like my mother is safe there. The staff and residents are friendly. The exterior of the building she is needs to be repaired.

I think the experiences we have had there and with the assistance of the staff, among others is the best. We have an elderly care attorney and they are familiar with how things are done in other facilities, so they were helpful in established procedures and practice with the staff. All in all, they have been very willing to work with us. They do whatever we need them to do.

I am so glad that my dad is there. It has been a blessing for us.

It is a wonderful and beautiful experience for seniors as they get older. The setting and presentation is wonderful. I wouldn't give them a bad review they just need a staff meeting and fix these issues. I was so in disbelief that no one knew who I should be talking regarding any of my questions. However, their good outweighs their bad.

It is a safe environment. It is a place that you know your family members will be taken care of.

It is a beautiful community and well taken care of. The staff is great and my dad is really happy there.

The food there isn't satisfactory for my aging parents. Too many sandwiches instead of hot fulfilling meals. There are days, no food is delivered. I was there on Wed 3/27/24, my parents lunch was overlooked. I made a call, it was brought up, short of some of the food prepared.

My aunt has received excellent care and has remained free from COVID-19. Whenever she required medical attention, the staff responded promptly and kept me informed without delay. The grounds are stunning and impeccably maintained.

It feels just like being part of a big family. Everybody looks out for each other and it's a loving, caring place. The staff makes sure you feel safe and at home.

I would tell them it is a good place but is expensive. I have noticed all have rent up on the rent every year. This could be a problem for some people and so far it has not been a problem for my dad. Me and my daughter have checked around to other places and it is still one of the best-priced places around. I like that you all are close to the hospital. If there was an emergency it would take y'all no time to get there.

It is a reasonable place compared to other facilities. They do have one staff member who needs an attitude adjustment. I want to say if this is not the job for you why are you here? If you don't have this type of character for this job you should not be here. Brenda likes it there and as long as she is happy then I'm okay with it. Miss Pauline is very pleasant and attentive and I like her a lot.

As far as cost I'm not sure how other places go. I would recommend it to anybody. Inflation has a lot to do with the cost of things going up last time because of so much they have to bring in. It is a perfect place for someone who needs assistance living. You get your food and your activities. You get everything you need that is required at a place like this.

I have recommended the retreat before. It is a nice clean environment. The people are friendly. The staff is very knowledgeable.

My cousin is in the memory care hall. I have been a personal care nurse, with clients in Assited Living facilities for over 25 years. In all that time I have witnessed those entrusted to care for those who cannot do everything for themselves. Some have been the most horrible caregivers and others the most loving ,caring and patient. I can honestly say EVERONE here at the Retreat that I have come in contact with has been so, so compassionate, co caring for the well-being of everyone. I can see God's hand working through these precious employees. The food is good always and delicious.. on other The kitchen staff will work with the families to ensure their loved ones are eating well. I cannot give any higher rating than to say our family would never remove our beloved cousin from The Retreat of Conyers.

Expensive place but worth the price. There's plenty to do with scheduled activities and church on Sunday. Meals are delivered to residences and the food is very good.

Overall very good and what standout is the slow recovery of the weather which was about 8 months ago.

If your budget can handle it, I would recommend it for the fact that it eliminates a lot of responsibilities, since a lot of us have medical appointments. It frees you up from a lot of home responsibilities.

I wold say this is the one. Before I came here, we visited other places, and they weren't places I'd want to be. This was the one that I knew would make me want to liver her.

We've known several people who have been there, they all like it. Staff does an excellent job.

The activities at this facility are awesome! They really do a great job of planning activities and events that keep the residents engaged and social. And the enthusiasm of the staff is infectious. Don't be surprised if you see them dancing and having fun right alongside their residents!

The Retreat is a wonderful facility, we knew our parents would feel right at home here. The staff is friendly and compassionate which was a big motivator for us. They take great care of their residents and are always doing something with them to keep them active. I love to hear about my parents field trips. Overall fantastic facility and wouldn't want my parents anywhere else.

I am the only child of aging parents that live 4 hours away in West Central Alabama. The time has come for my parents to relocate so that we could be closer for support and piece of mind. Needless to say that I had never done anything like this so I didn’t know where to begin…so I just started calling around and visiting places. When I visited “The Retreat”, I knew that this was where I wanted my parents. We were totally impressed with the property, staff, programs and location. My 23 year old daughter even made the statement, “I would like to live there”! Still not knowing what to do next, I was put at ease by the Representative that I am dealing with there, Leslie Piper! She has been so supportive and helpful during this process! Simply put…she is the best! I highly recommend “The Retreat at Conyers”.

The location is absolutely wonderful. The way the property is spread is very convenient and workable for anybody. They have adequate parking, and the staff is absolutely wonderful.

The staff has been able to correct some things really well. We hired an elder care attorney that has someone who has worked in the industry and even ran a facility. They also had a parent that needed one and have seen it from both sides. They know a lot of the things to ask for or suggest that we don't. That's been helpful, and the Retreat has been amazing at taking those suggestions and going with them. It's been a very good experience.

It's a nice environment. Based on your family member's needs, they have Independent Living and Assisted Living. A lot of places don't have Independent Living, so that's a plus.

I feel like they're very caring and definitely include her in everything. She says they're very friendly to her.

It seems to be a friendly and safe place. She doesn't wander, but I know some people do. The staff know her, and she knows them. They must be treating her well, because she trusts them. She wouldn't trust them if they didn't. The meals are good, too, which is so important.

It is large, but with any area there is a dedicated group of people who are focussed on the individual in the area. There is a lot to choose from and a lot of new people to meet.

My aunt has been well cared for. She has remained COVID free. There have been occasions where she needed medical attention and they responded immediately and let me know immediately. The grounds are beautiful and very clean.

Come and see for yourself. I don't want to be too critical. I'm satisfied with my apartment, I just don't like things I see when I go outside. There isn't enough lighting outside at night or in the early morning. Housekeeping is the main thing they need to improve on.

In assisted living here, the staff is friendly. The place is kept up very nice, and everybody is helpful.

It is wonderful. Part of your decision on where to put your loved one should be convenience. My mom is only 15 minutes from my house. They offer a lot of activities as well. Trent is wonderful. He is an activities person, and he is amazing.

The services and everything that is included is good. They should ask me questions about it. I like it here, and this is where I want to be. They have a lot of activities, there are so many. We have movies, a sports room, and bingo. We have so much. We have a calendar for the week, and you can see that activities for everyday. They have transportation to and fro the grocery store. If you have to go to a doctor's visit, they will take you there.

My aunt is 100, but she is still independent. This community has a secure environment. They have very good security where she is able to walk outside of her room, and still feel safe and secure.

I have seem improvements already, and that more are in progress. There is still work to do, but changes do take time. We are patient and willing to help. The memory-care is a large place. They are implementing more changes, but I have confidence that they will be put in place.

If you're independent, you won't get every service but they provide light housekeeping and meals. The place is also kept very clean. They're doing their best with limited staff.

I would tell someone that she has been very happy there. She was in independent living and now assistive living. She knew people who lived there at first, and they helped her be comfortable and know what was going on. Since then, those people have passed away.

I really like the people. They have been very respectful and friendly. They have been attentive to my aunt, and I like it. The facility itself is nice. My aunt is limited to one area, but that is by her own choosing and limitations. They have gotten her outside for special events which has been good.

We had a very easy time just getting in to see the place. They were very welcoming, and at least so far, they have been very accommodating when we try to find anything out.

The staff are very friendly. They have lots of things that they offer. The residents are friendly and they seem to enjoy living there. I think the dining is really nice, and I love how they remodeled the front of the building.

I like the staff is very nice and responsive. Even with the nurse I was talking about it. Whatever issue we have they tell us not to let it go and they fix it immediately. When my mother was put in hospice they automatically took out the carpet in her room to make it easier. I love this place and would recommend it to any one. From where we came from I wish we would have moved her quickly. I do not think she would be in the condition she is in now. They put a lot of focus on her. It is more quaint here.

My mom and I have been at the Retreat at Conyers for almost 2 years now. The staff is warm, friendly and caring and has gone above and beyond to make us feel comfortable here and to ensure our safety and well-being. We have made lots of friends and are so pleased with the excellent decision we made to move here!

I would recommend The Retreat at Conyers to friends and family because there is good professionalism, and the community of the facility and management are helpful.

The communication is the biggest issue. This is assisted living and they need to be more aware that we need to get in touch. with our loved ones and talk to them everyday. He never gets helped when something goes wrong and I worry about him being in their facility. When he presses his button they do not respond which is not good and it is usually an emergency situation. They should be understanding that a lot of these people are on a fixed income and there rates are high.

I would recommend. them because I am very happy here. They take care of my meals even though I have a special diet. They go above and beyond what they need to, to make sure we are happy and satisfied. I have told a lot of my friends that they need to move in here because I know the would love it as much as I do. The staff are all very friendly and take the time to individually meet our needs.

It is a great place to live for my aunt. The independent living side is great and they have a lot to offer the residents. They get great care and are able to do things on their own. They have a lot of amenities and things for the residents to participate in. Even when the pandemic started they made. sure to give their full attention to the residents and not freak them out with worrying. The food has been great and they delivered in to their rooms when they were not able to leave. They have allowed us to go visit and see them so the residents dont get lonely. I appreciate all that they do for the residents and keeping our family in the loop by communicating with us often about the status of our loved ones.

I think it is an excellent place for the residents to live. I appreciate all the staff do for the residents and provide the best care around. They do everything they promised pre move in and I could not be more thankful for them. They do an excellent job providing services for the residents as well as parties and activities. During the pandemic their was always something for us to do in our rooms and in the common areas. I was worried I would get lonely in my room alone, but they did a great job making us feel appreciated and loved. There is not one person in this facility that does not do the best they can and out their best foot forward. I think that it is the nicest place around and I would not want to be anywhere else.

I like the facility because of the staff that I have been able to work with. Jennifer and Adenetta are very informative and generous to me and my resident. The facility is very well kept and nice to look at. It is very clean and appears to have a lot of care provided. Once people move in they seem to get better health wise and they take a big responsibility in making the residents feel like it is home to them. I would recommend the facility for many reasons but my top would be because of the way the staff care about their residents and how seriously they take their jobs. They all seem to put in double hours because of the lack of staff and even with the staff missing they do everything they can for the residents. Every time I have seen my mom she seems like she is getting healthier and has made a lot of friends.

I would definitely recommend The Retreat at Conyers. It is clean, and I love that they have a patio. There is a big green space, they are doing a lot of renovations, and the people are nice, friendly, and usually responsive. Their hearts are in the right place, they are doing what they need to do. When looking for a facility, I think it is important to look out for things regarding what to expect each month or day such as a weekly notice, or a calendar of activities. At one point The Retreat at Conyers had that, but I don't know about that now. Weekly communication written in the form of a newsletter to the residents I think would be very helpful. I get monthly emails, but with the covid stuff, my mother didn't know anything, and I knew everything.

I would say that they do a good job of making sure that she stays as healthy as possible. They do a good job with the food. The people that work there overall seem to enjoy working there.

It is a pretty good place if you have to stay somewhere in Conyers, but Conyers is not an ideal place to stay.

The rooms are outstanding. The meals are on time. After a renovation, things will be better.

For the most part all of the memory care workers are not friendly. They need to be more patient and learn how to work for the residents. The money they pay to live there is not easy to come by and they do not provide care to live up to par with the money. I think they need more training and patients to make themselves better. They need to work like they enjoy their job and put a smile on their faces. Half of the workers look sad all the time and do not want to be there.

The place is neat and appears to be clean. When I have communication with the staff, they are all professional and courteous. COVID has put an issue on a resident's level since we are not able to come in and see them.

Yes I would recommend. I had a friend that came with me when I first got here 3 years ago. She went home and told her husband she wants to retire there. They are always updating the facility. It is a great place to live. They are always taking great care of us and seem to care about us a lot. I love the food. The outside is beautiful and they are working on adding more things to make it pretty. I love my room and the friends I have made here.

The residents here are awesome. There are people that would bend over backwards for me. The residents make the place great.

It is expensive to live at The Retreat at Conyers. If you can afford it, it is a nice place to go. The deductible is about $20,000 and most insurance companies don't even offer that anymore.

I like the building, it is a good location, and the majority of the employees they have are good. Some of them drop the ball to me, especially in administration. Because of convenience, and because of the structure of the complex, it is the best place for my mother to be. It is comfortable. I hate it that they constantly have a turnover of employees and ownership. My mom has been there for 3 years, and management has changed 3 times. The turnover does not help the residents because they are always starting and stopping. They can not settle into any one thing and be productive.

The Retreat at Conyers is a good community. The staff are very nice. The facilities are well taken care of. One concern for me is the security. It is a high crime area of Conyers, and it is not gated. My mother lives on the bottom floor by a door that is open all the time. There are no security cameras from what we can see, so security is a concern for me.

The Retreat at Conyers has great staff, they are attentive to the residents, and they make sure they have what they need.

This is such a nice place. I have talked to numerous residents and they have nothing but good things to say about the staff and the facilities. If you are looking for a place then I would highly recommend talking to Leslie Piper. She is very caring and knowledgeable. She will go above and beyond for her clients. You will be hard pressed to find someone who cares as much as she does.

I enjoy visiting this community and the residents! With an amazing staff who work to provide to most welcoming atmosphere with tons of activities, The Retreat is AWESOME!

The staff is utterly amazing! I had personal difficulty making the decision to move my Mother to a higher level of care. I also felt bad because my Mom was so hesitant to move. The staff arranged for my Mom to come over and speak with some residents, tour the facility and meet the Activity Director. After that, Mom got over the jitters and so did I. Not only did they empathize with the situation she was experiencing but they supported me as well. They cared for the caregiver! None of this would have been possible without the staff going the extra mile with patience and being proactive! I can tell there is a genuine passion for the work they do! I'm thankful we found The Retreat at Conyers!!

Remington House is such a wonderful community. The staff is warm and friendly and the community feels like home. If you are looking for a retirement community for your loved one, this place is fantastic! Please check it out.

It's a retirement home

I love this place and the staff. Imagine being called friend by the Executive Director and bestie by the Sales and Marketing Director. Jennifer, Soni, Ericka, Pauline, Sheryl, and Mario (and I can keep naming -- there are so many others) have truly welcomed my mom and family into this family. They turned a very difficult situation into something desirable. Thanks to all of you. Dee H.
