I would say that the staff at The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry are very caring and personable. I truly feel that my mom is well taken care of, and that’s the most important thing to me.

They're between 4 and 5 stars.

It is a nice facility. It is smaller, so it feels a little more home-y. I like that they do activities with them and try to get them involved.

The friendliness of the staff is great - they are always pleasant.

The check in process was seamless. Every time I have called up there, they have been spot on with answering questions. They have a lot of activities, and my mom loves being able to sit out on the porch.

I feel like they are overwhelmed and probably understaffed. I cannot get a key fob to get into the building because they don't have enough. Evelyn does a fantastic job at taking care of everyone, but I have asked for a schedule for my mom three times and still not received it.

The staff is really good. I like the fact that the staff takes my wife out and gets her some fresh air.

I would recommend the Phoenix to other people. I like that the community is bright and airy. The staff are friendly and the outdoor areas are exceptional.

Part of what makes it a good place is that it is small. All of the team members know each of the residents. I do think that they have a plan in place to get the residents more involved and have more activities.

If they get the medication straightened out in the future I would rate them a five.

The staff there seem very caring and are concerned about the residents. They always seem interested in actually helping the residents.

It is an intimate and welcoming environment.

It depends on the situation as to whether I'd recommend them or not. The other two communities I have lived in were personal care homes, and this is Assisted Living. There is such a big difference that I didn't realize until I came here. I was always told they were similar, but they're actually very different. All these places have good things, and things to improve.

It's fairly good but not excellent.

Caring staff, very loving, my mom is happy and they respectful of her.

This is her third Phoenix location, so hopefully it stays a 4/5. This location's layout is very nice. I feel like it's more visitor friendly. I like that they have more visible games and books available too. I think the common areas are pretty nice as well, compared to the last couple of communities she's been to. You don't feel she's confined to her room. She can sit on the veranda or out in the courtyard. Aesthetically, those are nice. I think the price point is slightly below average for what you're getting as well. I just think that my overall experience with Phoenix is consistency.

They have a lot for them to do which is good to me. They don't let her just sit in her room and/or sulk. They're very interactive with the residents.

I'd say they're very trustworthy and friendly and I know my dad is being well taken care of

It's small and personalized, Everyone knows the tenant's names and they're attentive. It's a nice facility and well maintained.

It would be easy to keep people sedated, but they try to help

I think it's a beautiful place, good activities, it's clean, in a good area.

It's a good community with good balance between staff and residents. They have a good longevity of employees so far, so they get to know the residents.

For the size, it should be doing a lot better than what it's doing. The biggest issue is the staff turnover which is frustrating because I have to meet someone all over again. For their size, they should be a lot more personable. The staff seems to not all be beating to the same drum.

It's a comfortable place to live. It's pretty well supervised, and I think the non-memory groups get to do a lot of outings.

I can't say enough about how it's been the right fit for me and my mother. It's on the smaller scale of how many residents there are. They always keep me in the loop if something has changed. It's always clean and everyone is always nice. They treat my mom with dignity and respect, and that's all I can ask for.

They have personal, one-on-one care.

You have some really good people and a few careless folks. You have to stay on top of things if you want to make sure you're loved one is taken care of.

I love it. It's on the smaller size which I love, because they know us well. Mom's only been there a few weeks, and they already know both of us. They greet me every time I come in. I have an arm band, too, that lets me visit at any time. There's no restricted time for visitation. They're very transparent.

I recommended it to my neighbor's Mom, and she's moving in. It's clean;, and they offer nice service, good food, and very pleasant surroundings. They give a dignity to the residents. Racially, religiously, and gender wise; it's also very diverse.

It is a good community to live in, mainly because of the size. That was the main selling point for me. If you have an issue, you get it fixed pretty soon. The COVID restrictions were not as strict as others had to be. Because of COVID, there are not as many issues going on. It is more mangageable.

It's a small, intimate community where the staff knows not only the resident but their family members, too. The staff really seems to care.

I looked at ten communities before this one, and this was the most flexible with taking residents in and out of the community. It's not a huge monstrous building. The expertise of the tenured caregivers is wonderful. The food is good enough; and sometimes, it's outstanding. You have two separate societies with assisted living and memory care, with assisted living getting better care.

There are a lot of loving and caring people. It appears that the new management is making very positive changes.

When you first walk in it's super bright and beautiful. One aspect that caught my eye is the living room where the staff members interact with the residents. I like how social they are with the residents and aim at keeping them involved daily.

The community has a professional staff that takes care of any needs or requests and will do anything for any resident regardless of their state of health. They are currently short-staffed so the community could be cleaner, but with the number of people they have, it's amazing. The staff helps clean up even when it's not their responsibility.

It is a very nice community physically, the majority of the staff care, their communication could be better, they could also take the time to find out what is wrong and care about the residents. They sent her to the hospital three times in a month and all three times they sent her without any insurance information and with old billing information rather than giving them my address. So all three visits sent her into collections and it has been very frustrating because I can't get the bill paid without having been sent the bill but I get a call every week from three different collection agencies. Everything comes back to the communication problems. The nursing staff is a disaster but the management is great.

I am happy to have my dad in The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry. He was not looking forward to it, he was apprehensive, but a couple weeks passed and he is now very pleased and happy with the environment. It is not at all what he expected, and it is not how it is portrayed when people talk about an old folks home. It is better than that, they are friendly, and all the residents are being interacted with in some way, shape, or form. It is nice, clean, and pleasant.

It is very warm and welcoming. They try very hard to make us feel like we belong.

The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry is newly renovated. The room seems to be nice and spacious enough. The staff is accommodating and professional.

They are great at taking care of the residents and doing what is best for the residents. They make sure to let me know if something happens and keeping the communication open. I think they go above what they need to and they really care about the residents and their well being.

I feel that they go above and beyond, and the quality of care is exceptional. The communication is number 1 and the nurses and ED always communicate promptly and effectively to let us know what is going on if it is out of the norm. They have a good reputation.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a home. My sister was in a different facility for years and about two years ago we finally moved her to The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry which has been the best decision ever. She is happier than she has ever been and her attitude has been great. During the Pandemic they have gone above and beyond to take care of their staff and residents and we are all very thankful for that. I would not want my sister to be anywhere else. There food is excellent and their chef is willing to make select foods for the different residents meal restrictions.

It would depend on their condition. If they are low maintenance I would recommend them.

Right now I for sure would recommend. The Executive Director is amazing and goes the extra mile to plan events and has her act together. The senior staff is great and they really care about my mom and all of the residents. They try and get to know the family and reach out to us about any issues going on. They are great at planning ahead and with the virus they gave all of their staff PPE and scrubs to make sure that everyone can be safe.

I would recommend it to anyone. The quality of the care and the concern with the people working with him and the satisfaction is overall amazing. He seems like he is now really happy and his overall health has gone up.

This is the third place my mom has been and it's been the best. I know it's a hard job but they do a great job.

The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry has been very satisfactory in many ways. It was better before they started the renovation. The earlier staff when he first got there were wonderful and very tentative. The primary person named Mary, was really good, responsive, and attentive, but she has probably been promoted. I would always call her with questions and receive a call back, but now I don't know who to call!

It is a great location. It was really important to me early on, because I used to live closer to the facility. I still have relationships with people in that area, so if they were looking for a place for their mother or father, I would not hesitate to send them over to Matt. It is a very well run organization. Matt has done a really good job and they did a good job in training him for 90 days.

The location is one thing for me, it is easy to get to. The size of the facility and room is great.

Johnson Ferry Senior Living is well run even with the change in management. Getting new staff was difficult, but everything is now run smoothly. I especially like the new executive director. My mother comments that he always stops and talks to her when he sees her. The entire staff chit-chats with her, even management.
